I have seen a lot of activity on Twitter discussing the potential of using social networking to help ERP implementations. Based on personal experience, recent discussions with ERP Program Managers and Work Stream Leads and interviews of those who “lived through” ERP programs I have put together a concept for an Enteprise 2.0 Business Service to aid in ERP program implementation.

You may wonder why I am writing this post today — of all days — in our current economic situation. Right now, more and more people are returning to school to “beef up” their skill sets since they are unable to find jobs. It makes sense to me that this experience should be as productive as possible. This advice –- the same I have recently provided as advisory input to three universities –- is intended to enable universities to better prepare students for the software market and help those students be more productive at the start of their careers…

I am writing this rather quickly in response to a situation that is going on in the “Twitterverse” today. Essentially a rumor is going around about a company (a recent competitor) that has been picked up an commented upon by a few analysts and bloggers, in the spirit of Cicero (e.g, “I do not spread rumors but need to comment upon…”) This has reminded me of the importance of making your own decisions…
